Catalytic: The prophetic nature of the work, means new
ministries develop nearly every three months. Our role is to
prophetically call, enable vision, encourage team formation and mentor with
leaders of these works, not to build an ever expanding mission organisation,
were we remain in control. Leadership by influence and personal
relationship remains a key to the linkage of the wide movement we have
catalysed.
Virtual Reality: Thus the organizational structure of
the mission is deliberately limited. The international office has
traditionally been lean, in keeping with the ethos of a mission
committed to the poor. It expands and contracts from 3-8 workers, as it builds and
spins off each movement. There is no intention to grow it bigger than this.
Internal Structure: The International Board, based in
Auckland,
oversees the ministry, setting policies. There
is also an advisory board consisting of key national leaders and
specialist advisors. The City Leaders Network and Encarnação Urban Poor Networks
are separate ministries that have been catalyzed, and are
largely administered and funded by Urban Leadership Foundation.
Networks: The various parts of the organization
(as of 2005) are designated as being either an essential part of
the Urban Leadership Organization or as being a network link,
even if in some cases ongoing organizational support is sustained.
